What's interesting, I just rewatched a movie by the name of "Arrival". I remember this scene stood out because of the definition they gave in the movie seemed cool to me. The daughter asks in a flashback scene, her father gave her the definition of what it means when, and I'm not sure if she says, "when everybody wins" or "no one wins" . And her mother answers "Zero sum game". Think I got that right. That's a movie feeding us propaganda?
She says, "It's a competition but both sides win"...
Zero Sum Game=belief in the finite? No? Yes?
Merriam-Webster says it's a situation in which one person or group can win only by causing another person or group to lose.
I'll take that as a yes, then...the belief that resources are limited, or finite, are the only way one could "win" or "lose". Otherwise there would just be love, and everything would come your way at no expense to another.
Bugs Bunny, the wisecracking bunny with the NY accent, was always my favorite cartoon character when I was a kid. I looked up that episode called “Baseball Bugs” and watched pieces of the episode last night online. Interesting how the blue team and the red team seem to coincide with the two political parties called the Dems (blue team) and the GOP (red team). Even the names of the teams seemed illustrative of our current two party political system, and even included the Statue of Liberty 🗽 at the end. You can watch a three minute video clip of the just opening and closing part of the cartoon here:
And this from the internet about that episode…
“Usually, Porky Pig would conclude Looney Tunes films by stuttering, "That's all, folks!" However, Bugs replaced him at the end of "Baseball Bugs" (1946) by munching on a carrot and exclaiming "And that's the end!"
Blessings to ALL
Also in Simple Gematria….
Baseball Bugs = politics
I am happy to see the symbolism noticed. 😉
Some of us are young enough (ahem....) to remember when blue was used for the GOP and red for the Democrat Party, the latter objecting because the color was associated with Communism. The press affirmed its bias by agreeing. I don't remember Republican objections to the switch. I would have suggested green and orange then decided with a coin toss. Republicrats and Demublicans are two sides of the same cowpie. They try to paint each other as Libertive and Conservable but we voters aren't that stucking fupid, we've got it all figured out. 🤪
I had often wondered why the left in the States is assigned blue and the right red. In all of the other parts of the world that I am aware, the colors are opposite.
Patrick, I'm glad you mentioned that they reversed the party colors--my parents were Democrats, and as a kid I was proud that my favorite color was red. This memory always confused the hell out of me!
Enjoy the Show...
TH — really good video, by Tore Says 👍. I don’t think Jeffrey E is dead, though. I think the dead body image was of Anthony Bourdain made to look like Jeffrey E. The same “trick” was done for JFK’s body as explained in a video I think you might have linked to —the title was something like “Its All A Rich Man’s Game”, but I can’t recall.
You might be interested in this video which is about Q and Seal Team 6 by ScottyMar10 on Rumble. Video is 20 minutes long called, “Susie Q / When The Shit Goes Down”
Interesting to note that at the end of the video the Twitter account provided has been suspended. So much for Elon’s free speech promises, huh? Anyone still buying what he’s selling?
And Texas politics finally got interesting…
God, money and Dairy Queen: How Texas House investigators secured the impeachment of Attorney General Ken Paxton
Katherine, that same Rumble account I mentioned above just posted a video about that! It’s just over 14 minutes long and towards the end is video footage of Putin speaking about what’s happened in the USA and he uses the term newspeak, coincidentally.
