Once contact with ET becomes 'fact-of-life', like accepting the world is round and not flat, people will identify themselves more as Earthlings, rather than their own nationality.
Borders are used nowadays to support the chosen lifestyles of people within. (And if you don't like it, feel free to emigrate somewhere that suits you better.) There is nothing wrong with that.
Some people, eg citizens of the EU, enjoy a greater freedom of movement than others. No problem with that, either.
There is a problem when some people want to move where they are not wanted. I think people of any country should decide who can come to their country, temporarily or permenantly.
Once you become citizen of a country, every citizen should enjoy equal right and obligation. Therefore, the recent spat against Orientals in the US is unacceptable. (I know, it must be the Illuminati doing its 'divide-&-rule' tactic.)
I wonder if ET's have national borders on their planets. They are probably past that ages ago.

What if my world is flat, our universe, the milky way... The Earth is round. What if every human should enjoy equal rights, not just every citizen of a country...

@tv it sounds great but the challenge is balancing the needs of everyone and trying to keep things fair and free of fraudulent behavior of any would be trouble makers.

@Scott2:

I was writing about Human Rights and equal opportunities...

Patrick

@ TV: For every human to enjoy equal rights means somebody has to tolerate something they dislike. For example, the USA is loaded with people who love to exercise free speech & press rights and get rich doing it (e.g. Jack Dorsey & Mark Zuckerberg) but deny to others what they utilize. (President Trump). Equal rights for everybody are opposed by influential, powerful people.

@ Scott2: The best way to balance everyone's needs is not to try and balance them. Most things called "needs" are preferences and vary considerably from person-to-person, group-to-group. Everyone "needs" medical treatment but from patient-to-patient it's vastly different, even for the same virus.

Keeping things fair is one of the most dangerous things a free people can embrace. In order for this to be, a referee has to decide what fair is. Who can make consistent decisions between large differences of circumstances? Courts seem to make a good effort,

Deception, deceit and fraud are a different thing, of course they should be stopped, always with the understanding that perfection isn't possible, that efforts aimed at problems have a limit.

@Patrick: I did not write "Equal rights". I wrote "Equal opportunity" and "Human rights", meaning basic human rights...

As far as I see it, a concept of "Equal rights" does not exist in 3D. If Mr. Zuck has a company which he controls, he can legally cut DJT off, as long as he treats others the same way. Who is to control and enforce that, most likely nobody.

My mental lapse, sorry. I now see that I wrote above "equal rights" when I thought and meant "human rights"...

@Patrick no doubt it wouldn't be easy but I guess the alternative is to maintain the status quo though it sounds like this shift is going to flush the status quo down the toilet.

Across the pond, Boris Johnson seems utterly determined to introduce domestic vaccine passports, without which you will be unable to enter a bar, sport stadium, cinema, supermarket etc. This is very sinister and Draconian. Will be interesting to see if the people allow this to transpire.

Folks will largely comply, sayeth The Committee.

Today vaccine passports, tomorrow good conduct certificates?

@Patrick after a few yrs have gone by and nobody is really worrying about covid these passports will probably go away won't they because they seem rather asinine and foolish since these vaccines are supposedly going to be giving us protection.

Proof of vaccination of visitors will be required by national governments for admission into the country, in order to prevent infection by foreigners. That's understandable.

Within any country, segregating the vaccinated and un-vaccinated doesn't make sense. Because the vaccinated is protected, so they are not afraid of the un-vaccinated; and vice versa for the un-vaccinated.

Egypt asks a refund of one billion $ to the company that own the cargo responsible of the recent blockage of Suez channel.

I would be very fond to know what effect will it have to the insurance fees of similar ships and tankers that need to use the channel... ;)

Have a nice day

This will not be a large enough insurance claim to affect anything except Evergreen. Costs to free a grounded ship then repair it are covered, but in excess of 1% of hull value.

The Suez Canal has a weak case for claiming anything beyond rescue expense. Toll collections were delayed, not lost. Maybe charge interest, if it's worth it?

If borders become irrelevant, is there value in secession or is a borderless wold so far out it won’t matter?
Is Texas still on track to secede within the next decade?
The passage of SB7 (election reform) in Texas has corporations tweeting and whining. If implemented will corporations that have been fleeing to Texas reconsider and go elsewhere or is their rhetoric all bluster?
Can The Committee weigh in on the current border fiasco/crisis? It seems there is no end in site of immigrants coming into the border states and even dumping babies over the wall and into the water. Will the Biden admin come up with a coherent plan to manage the chaos? What will be the long term effect of this situation?

Answereth The Committee:

• If borders become.....?
C: The borderless Earth remains well into the future, beyond the lives of people and their children and grandchildren reading this.

• Is Texas still on track to secede....?
C: Yes, however the timing and effect, the degree to which disintegration, detachment and dissolution occur is very much under human control, and fluid.

• The passage of SB7....will corporations....go elsewhere or bluster ?
C: The people controlling the businesses who now complain are doing so only to help gain favor and traction with the current administration in Washington, these people are not ideologically aligned for or against the election law. Most complainers favor it but will not admit this

• Can The Committee weigh in on the current border fiasco/crisis?
C: The events at the USA Mexico border are intentional, no plan will be devised to solve the crisis, it is desired. The long term effect will be many if not most of the new arrivals will remain in the USA.
