A good list, a Broker's Dozen. (Baker's Dozen = 13, the customer gets an extra bun as a nicety to entice them back. Brokers of many types & stripes always subtract a bit for themselves, thus 11.)
  1. With Biden being installed as president, how will that impact the election for Harris in 2024?
  2. Will Biden be removed after 2 years so Harris can make an additional 2 terms or will they kick him out sooner?
  3. Earthquakes and volcanos are heating up which seems to mean the dim period is just around the corner. How long will it take for the average Joe to recognize that we have entered a serious geologic stage that isn't going to subside quickly?
  4. With standard energy sources (natural gas, coal, propane, solar, wind etc.) unavailable, what will we use as a transitional source of energy until a new standard is available and affordable?
  5. How long will it take to reconfigure systems so that energy is available and affordable?
  6. Once the dim period begins, if it hasn't already, how long will it be before above ground crops are unavailable or difficult to grow?
  7. Is it still anticipated that the dim period will last about 4 years?
  8. How close are we to things going plumb crazy (even though it seems that they already have, much continues as it has like increased housing costs and food availability)?
  9. On a more local note, are we in for more weather like the cold we just had?
  10. Is Texas still on track to secede in the next decade?
  11. Will the Texas grid be fixed so it's reliable if/when Texas does secede?
================================================
1.  Biden isn't going to make it until 2024, Harris will take over when Biden steps down.
2.  If Biden makes it to 2 years, The Committee is saying more likely at 12-18 months will he leave The White House.
3.  Only once we're deep into it and the effects cannot be denied.
4.  The sources will be available but limited and expensive, in varying degrees. The new electricity method can be developed very quickly, in other words months, but nobody will do it until we have to.

5.  This depends on how one defines "reconfigure" and "affordable". Most systems now dealing with oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and gasoline are going away permanently for the general public. Electricity distribution equipment (transmission lines, cables, wires and substations) can be re-done in a few months or less.
6.  Within the first year / season and the effects will remain for at least three and somewhat into a fourth growing season, depending on northern or southern hemisphere and the drop and region.
7.  Yes
8.
We're never going to go "plumb crazy" just like we're not systemically racist, BUT the powers-that-want-to-be will tell us otherwise every day, won't they? So we'll hear endlessly about examples of bad & crazy reactions the large majority do not have, offer, express or even see.
Housing costs will plummet. Food challenges are going to be worst where populations are high, such as China, India and other places. Not so much in the USA. Lots of fancy crap is going away, along with sugary stuff.
9.  Not once the Dim Adventure gets going. It'll be just as warm in this part of Texas in the summer and warmer during the "winter" also.
10.  Yes indeed. Gov. Abbott just sent 500 Nat'l Guard troops to the Mexico border. That's an early indicator right there.
11.
It's fixed now and always was. Too much "non-wind" generation was shut down. We have about 86 gigs of installed capacity (versus California with 80) and about 15 total is wind turbines. Peak demand was set in August '19 at 75. The height of the storm 3 weeks ago saw 66. We can do that easily BUT we have to be prepared to spend the money. The power companies with that money got blindsided. Failure to manage risk and plan for extremes, because the investors don't like anything but rosy news and happy bullshit.

I was curious as to how Texas will handle a possible migration influx from neighboring states wanting to be there for various political and socioeconomic advantages. Would this mean they would adopt a similar foreign/domestic immigration policies like the Federal government. Such as who gets a passport (do they even have one separate from the US), who is now considered a newly minted Texas national (those born there automatically get a right much like current US Citizenship laws), and do they create their own paper currency? I have to admit I am quite excited to watch this event/timeline unfold.

Patrick

Texas has already handled massive population increases over the last two decades. From year 2000 to 2010, the population increase was the largest ever to happen to a state, province, or prefecture OR ANY COUNTRY, in both absolute numbers and percentage increase, in the known history of the world.
Year 2000 20.39 million residents, year 2010 25.15 million a 25% increase. 29.7 last year, another 18% increase. In twenty years Texas' population has increased about 50%.

As an independent nation, yes all the things you mention would happen. Current talk is: anybody born in Texas no matter where they live now, becomes a citizen. Any US citizen who lives in Texas at the time of secession, also.

The issue will be retaliation and reprisals against Texas by Washington DC.

The growth that Texas has experienced is a bit surreal to me at times...just seeing and experiencing a drive on the Sam Houston Tollway in Houston from the 80s to today is an exact testament to the growth you cited. Does that mean the existing infrastructure that Texas has is sufficient or will be greatly modified to the changing landscape of being an independent nation?

Patrick
12/3/2021 18:55:31

@ Tigger: The infrastructure is being built as we go. 10 million more people in twenty years but roads, water, electricity (except in a rare case of gross operator negligence) food, housing, law enforcement, education, social services have all kept up and in many cases, improved overall. This would continue BUT...we have The Shift looming on the horizon.

Why will housing costs plummet?

Reply

12/3/2021 09:29:23

This is my question also...will costs fall due to reduced demand? Will housing construction be a viable option?

Reply
Patrick
12/3/2021 10:32:37

Depends on the definition of "viable". It will certainly be possible, BUT for a good while along the way, the main theme will be the end of the world. Few would-be home buyers in otherwise "happy" moods will be around to make life-long investments in things like housing when they're being told repeatedly the end of the world is nigh.

It is NOT.

Patrick
12/3/2021 10:30:17

Reduced demand, SHARPLY reduced. Most buyers also sell, but when the current house cannot be, the next one is not bought.

Once the volcanic ash, that forms a crust in the upper atmosphere, subsides (after 3, 4 years), and sunlight returns to normal level, dissipation of geo-thermal heat should also return to normal level. I would think Earth temperature should also return to 'normal level'.

Not sure why global warming will continue. Is that caused by greater solar radiation that heats up the Earth's core more?

I installed solar panels recently, but the power generated will probably be much less during the dime period.

I know, the esteemed GAG explained repeatedly that global warming is NOT caused by higher CO2 emission. But I support all carbon dioxide reduction measures, but they reduce pollution and our dependence on fossil fuel, for which the trransportation will be much reduced.

You heard the warming will continue, Stephen? Do you suppose they meant itll still get warm in the summer? The only reason the globe heats up is because of ash unless I missed something...I doubt you'll be successful in reducing co2, Stephen...this planet balances its gases very well all by its lonesome, according to the Committee, The planet isnt broken but you wouldnt know it listening to Greta

Reply
Patrick
12/3/2021 10:41:41

Earth has not been warming until now, despite the stories being told.

Patrick
12/3/2021 10:40:52

Not a crust, a layer of what seems to be thin clouds. At those altitudes, the temperature is always well below 0℃. Sufficient ash will cause water to bind to the ash as it crystallizes. This already happens now, and weather balloons have identified the effect. These ash & water particles will be like high altitude dust, and spread far and wide. They'll fall out of suspension but for quite a while the addition of new ash will maintain the Dim Period over several years.

The Committee says the return to a more typical cycle of seasons and temperature changes will come about when the atmospheric ash dissipates.

Warmer temperatures will not continue. They'll start to rise when the ash becomes noticeable worldwide. The number of eruptions will be obvious.

The hydrocarbons we burn as fuel are not from fossils. Transportation is going to change drastically.

I recently came across this article and was wondering if TC could comment what would be the best way one could remedy a false positive test result in our current mandatory Covid-19 negative test result to do just about everything these days? I have to travel for a family emergency situation and this surprised me to hear, or maybe I shouldn't be at all

Remedy a false positive? What qualifies? I will offer that it means the presence of either antibodies or viral remnants with absence of a clinical infection and contagiousness.

The Committee says says: "Do not take any test until it can determine the absence of contagiousness."

Hi, this is off the current topic but ....
1. Can TEC tell us why weather changes make arthritis symptoms worse?
2.. Does the weather changes effect all types of arthritis or just osteoarthritis?
3. Is there anything a person can do to help to lessen the effects of weather on it?
Thank you

Reply
Patrick

You don't need this from The Committee, the effect of weather on arthritis has been well studied.

The solution: change diet, add nutrients which alleviate inflammation and consider acupuncture.

@Candy--the joints in my hands become inflamed when I indulge in sugar and/or carbohydrates. Ginger, turmeric, and cayenne pepper seem to help. When the weather is predicted to change, totally eliminate sugar/carbs and double down on turmeric, ginger, etc. Hope you feel better!

@ Candy: I have just suffered the worst flare up of Psoriasis arthritis I have ever seen and I have had the same thought! To be fair, it may have been triggered by the hormonal change and in that process lack of nutrients. So I am stocking up on iron and B12 and try to reduce sugars in my diet. I have tried turmeric capsules and they seem to work, but I will tell what I have found to be really great: Fish oil capsules! Mine contain Omega 3 and also have vitamine E added to them, and I am told to take a higher dose (double) until the swelling and the pain have gone and then STAY on the normal dose for life. Good luck and I hope it will get better soon, Candy!

I was wondering if it was stupid to buy a home now given the upcoming events and housing down turn? I really don't know what my employment situation would be in 10 years. I would love to own a home one day though ... but maybe it was just never meant to be. Renting in 10 years sounds scary too. I mean what is one to do if he/she loses THE job and can't pay rent ... EVER? So many renters out there ...

I dont know if this halps you, Gary...Patrick will explain better im sure but if oil and gas stop in 8 years, that will stop employment unless you are telecommuting. Even then. They will start foreclosures and it wont stop until they realize they arent making anymore money off them. And then, according to the Committee, if I have it right...everyone will pick a home and just move on in. No more house payment...maybe wait for that?

@Scott R, I've read something very similar to that here... the "just move on in" part but I've never read that from Patrick/TC. It just sounds so crazy, I'm not sure that's the kind of plan I want to bank on. But who the hell knows ... we're living in beyond crazy times.

Scott R
13/3/2021 15:50:12

Its a work in progress...but you can sort of have an idea what position youll be in when it comes to that. What do you do for a living? If its not computers or something that helps keep things running, theres a good chance youll be unemployed. You wont make a mortgage payment, therefore youll lose the house if you havent paid it off or cant pay the taxes. So plan from that. Should you sell now and go liquid or hang on to it till you are forced out and then try to find something until the foreclosures stop. You have options...now...but things are going to narrow after stuff starts happening. The gas shortage...will that cause electric cars to go up in price? Should you buy one or convert an old car/truck with car batteries. Ive seen that done for 35 miles a day. You dont need more than that. So, do you wait or do you start now? I think after the San Andreas goes off, no one will want to live here anymore...theyll be scared to death. Another reason to move to Texas. ). But that leaves everything open here. Lots of options. Thats the way I think but I digress. ).

The Amendment is not any ordinary website, I believe we are the few people led to Patrick's site by our own GAG's. Of course, our GAG's may also lead us to other websites, as Patrick is not the sole source on all channeled information.
I am not sure we should use Patrick's forum to:
(1) Check validity of information or opinion espoused on other sites (ie as a Truth-Meter); or
(2) Refer to other sites or articles, without Patrick's prior consent.
Of course, Patrick refers to other articles and website from time to time, and this is his prerogative, since it is his site! I also think asking general question, eg comment on Q Anon, may also be acceptable.
Other social forum, eg Facebook or Twitter, etc, may be a better place to publicise other websites or articles. Our discussion should focus on messages from Patrick and the esteemed GAG, here.

1. "Validity of information" = disbelief, because one either isn't asking or isn't listening to one's own Guardian Angel Guides. The Committee can respond to you just as easily as they answer me, and your own GAGs can & will do it also.

2. You may refer to any article, website, video, magazine, article, movie or essay. This might be good for the readership here, each one of us can decide if we'll read or watch and what we think. Very recent example above, different opinions on Simon Parkes.

I don't conduct review and analysis of said articles, websites, videos, magazines, articles, movies or essays. Summarize it and set out your questions.

Free Speech is humanity's ever present struggle (a battle sometimes) but whenever this challenge arises, it pays dividends so great each time we choose to meet it, only our souls will know how valuable the payouts are, once we're back home and free expression truly reigns.

It's an astronomical clock at the Lyon Cathedral, France. Built in 1660, the intersecting hands tell time and form a flat model of our planet which tracks positions of the sun and moon relative to Earth. The zodiac dial is offset to account for Earth's rotational tilt and shows the star sign currently in season.

Here is the piece I read about Canada's PM Justin Trudeau that says his real father is Fidel Castro ... revealed blind item.

"Many years ago, this foreign A list leader had a much younger wife who was very much in keeping with the behavior of the day. She was very open sexually and had numerous high profile lovers including an A++ singer of an A++ band and an A list actor known for his many affairs. The leader tolerated this this as she was visually a nice piece of arm candy.

The wife also had sex several times with this leader who was A++ in his day and was immediately recognizable. During one trip to the same part of the world, the couple snuck off to meet with this leader and she indulged herself. This time however she got pregnant. The result is the current leader of the same country as his alleged father but his true father is the A++ leader. You can see it in his facial features.

The Committee already answered this question and said Pierre Trudeau was Justin Trudeau's father. This is true because Pierre Trudeau raised Justin and was married to his mother Margaret when Justin was born. Since neither Pierre nor Fidel are with us for questions or DNA samples, we have to ask Margaret. Has anyone posed this question to her? Last time I heard, the former Madame Trudeau lives in a little obscure place called Vancouver in a region called British Columbia. Anybody ever heard of it?

The question should be, Was Fidel Castro the man who inseminated Margaret Trudeau and sired Justin? Is Fidel Castro the biological father of Justin, not the former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre?

The Committee is not answering this question but to say, "Set aside such impractical if entertaining distractions. Focus attention on something to benefit you personally now, here and happily.

This question is being raised to draw attention away from something else."

Possible eruption could begin without strong precursory signals

Currently, the magma is shallow, lying 1-1,5 km beneath the crust. Therefore, it can be expected that an eruption could start without a strong precursory signal, as the magma can easily brake through the last hundreds of meters of the crust once the critical pressure is reached.
From experience of lava flow eruptions (as we might expect), the eruption tremor is weak and has a low amplitude. For this reason, the IMO has installed webcams which can be used to monitor the area, in case of an eruption will start without clear precursory signals.
