"Without music, life would be a mistake.” --Friedrich Nietzsche
Speaking of music, I have favorites as do most people. Here are links to two songs I like a lot.
The first one is traditional New Orleans Jazz from about a century ago, Dead Man Blues by the great Jelly Roll Morton, first performed by his ensemble The Red Hot Chili Peppers. but performed here by the great Wynton Marsalis and Company. Arguably Jell Roll Morton is the creator of jazz as a music genre. Listen from Minute 1 to about Minute 3 to get a good taste, if 8+ minutes are too long.
The second is Vibe Mambo (the distinctive Cuban style) from the late, great Ernesto "Tito" Puente, Jr. but much newer than the above song; it's only about 70 years old. 😉 Again, you may listen to just the first minute to get a good feel for it. Please post links to your favorite music also, if so inclined you feel.

I did this instrumental 9 years ago. Read the note: "The intergalactic funky dread with an amendment! Special dedication to Patrick & The Committee..." https://manwelt.bandcamp.com/track/the-amendment

He definitely channels something special when he sings that song ❤️
I certainly can understand the soul connection to music. That is why songs or certain music effect different people different ways. For me, I get tears in my eyes or chills on my arms.
