Despite the popular news "themes" in many quarters: (a problem right there, because news should be objective, impartial & factual but not thematic) ...

  • Ukraine is not repelling Russia. Ukraine is Russia now.
  • Joe Biden is falling even farther behind Trump for re-election, who remains far ahead of Republican rivals for the party nomination.
  • As forecast, Hamas is being exterminated; start war, get war. Perhaps old offers to create Palestine and accept Israel should not have been rejected.
  • In a sudden, abrupt rain-free hurricane (Otis) Mexican resort city Acapulco was ruined by a Category 5 storm a few days ago, with 260 kph winds and gusts above 320. A good three dozen people have died, more to come. No water, food or electricity are available. Reports said the tempest strengthened from tropical storm intensity into a monster hurricane faster than ever recorded, less than a day. Conspiracies blame humans; The Committee says it is "The Shift".

This book writing stuff makes for hungry clocks, posts here are too infrequent, I think. Trade-offs never go away, but anyway on to the post of the day:

Or maybe you just use that wording as a general metaphor?

I’m confused what you mean.

Ruthlessness begets ruthlessness. Keep a few facts in mind when observing the war:

● Israel never adopted a policy of ridding the Middle East of anything.
● The offer to create a Palestinian nation, with land & borders, has been rejected 5 (five) times, if my reading of history is any good.
● The PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and other organizations I might have forgotten, have for many decades held a position that the nation of Israel should not exist, that Jews should be driven from the Middle East or exterminated.
● Jews have lived in the region and on lands now part of Israel for 3,500 years.

That's not an accurate history. The Palestinians have accepted agreements to recognize Israel over and over. Israel has reneged every single time.

I dont think that is right Patrick. The Balfour declaration is bordering on being illegal. You cant just carve out a new state in already occupied land no matter how well your intentions are and no matter how much you perceive it to be justified. Of course the arabs living there would not take too kindly to that kind of hostile takeover.

The arabs have been living in squalid conditions for a long time under the Israeli protectorate. They have no way of striking back at the Israeli military with conventional means so they feel forced to resort to terrorism. Its not justified either of course.

There was plenty of living space in both the US and the USSR. The Jews could have migrated there. They dont need an official state since they already control all the other governments. You know as well as I do that the HCPs are predominantly jewish families.

@Patrick,

Curious as to why you speculated Palestinians should have accepted the offer to create Palestine and accept Israel.

They did exactly that in 1993 with the signing of the Israel-Palestine Peace Accords. It was the Israeli government that reneged on the conditions of the agreement.

The details of how the Israeli government trashed the accords was brought up in a 2010 film about how US Christian Zionists uncritically support Israel no matter what they do.

This video is a MUST WATCH. It's a history of Palestinian Christians in Bethlehem who have lived there since the days of early Christianity.

"The Stones Cry Out - Voices of The Palestinian Christians"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWPijzzinKg

They had their homes and farmland stolen after owning them for hundreds of years. Few US Christians even know about them. One of them talked about a US Christian coming to town to witness about Christ to them. The irony of telling a Palestinian Christian about Christ when they walk daily where he walked during his lifetime was not lost on them.

Land with borders in order to form a sovereign nation (presumably named Palestine) has been offered, in exchange for relinquishment of the policy & objective to eliminate the sovereign state of Israel and drive Jews from the Middle East.

That's not speculation, it's a fact.

@Patrick

Yes, that offer was the 1993 Israel-Palestine Peace Accords.

Netanyahu came to power after the agreement and did everything in his power to undermine it. Then Israel reneged by expanding Jewish settlements that were ILLEGAL by international law. It was a land grab.

Also, the security wall built later was built so far into Palestinian territory that Palestinians were cut off from their own farmland. Another land grab.

Israel acted in bad faith and that was never going to lead to peace.

I am not sure if you are aware of this Patrick but the Israeli deep state have funded Hamas as way to excuse the senseless violence and utter destruction of Gaza. The recent attacks were a false flag operation.

Someone linked a post from Matthewbooks and it offers a sobering perspective on this conflict. It resonates with me as well.

No where to run. Israel has been bombing refugee camps.

I deplore what Hamas did on October 7th, but this isn't the answer. 3,600 Palestinian children/infants have been killed.

Wear the shoes of a Jew who remembers other Jews being taken away. I am closely related to somebody who watched Jews being taken away by the Waffen SS (my father and the next-door neighbors; Rotterdam,1941)

What the Israelis see is the start of another Holocaust, funded and supplied by Iran.

Lorri

The Israelis are as far from a Holocaust as can be.

Their defensive capability and the staggering financial support they get from US taxpayers puts them at great advantage.

The better question is why a people who lived through the horrors of the Holocaust, thought it was okay to in turn make 700,000 Palestinians living in the land for centuries into refugees just to begin the State of Israel.

They made them leave their houses, and then destroyed the houses and burned their olive groves. How could they eliminate another people when they were almost eliminated themselves?

Well, thankfully, there are many Jewish people who stand up against Israeli policies. Their numbers are growing.

Patrick, Patrick.
What's the answer? Did not the Committe give you one? Or stay silent?

Yesterday I saw some footage of the young and children of Gaza. half of them are guaranteed new elements of Hamas in the future.

Netanjahu with his bloodthirsty rampage is acively multiplying the terrorist forces, inside and outside of Israel.
This will lead to more assured deaths and losses for Israel.
Or this is what is really the goal?
Have a perpetual state of fear and war?
Fighting violence with overwhelming violence is the recipe for a utter failure, a failure of the mind and of the soul.

You are a good person, Patrick, and I found disearthening that you are so stuck in such a moral dissonance.

For my part, I do not find the "two people two state" solution right.
There should be thwo people ONE state, one that cares of both. Palestinians are treated a scum by Israelians, you know. You have to accept that, because it is factual. If this scandal stone is not removed, there will never be a state also for Israelians.

Have a nice day

Thank you Pierluigi. Good people cannot be in moral dissonance?

I am not taking sides in a fight that doesn't involve me. More attention to & at something means more of that thing. In this case, war.

Such a largescale attack must have been planned for months. Hamas had been gathering around the border and Israel did not notice anything. The satellites did not see anything. Israeli ground intelligence did not know anything. Egypt's intelligence that something was brewing was ignored. Such a mighty IDF and the border was virtually unguarded. And to top it all it coincided with the government's attempt to suppress the powers of the Supreme Court which led to widespread discontent and Netanyahu was getting unpopular.

This is not normal. There has to be a deep rooted conspiracy. I see the hand of the Deep State and that of Netanyahu in all this. The Deep State instigated Iran and Hamas to carry out the attack and also Netanyahu to ignore and suppress he intelligence.

Iran and Israel both benefit from diverting attention from the peoples' movement and the failure of their leadership . The Deep State benefits by creating a possibility of a world war and involving the Middle eastern nations, USA, Russia, China in conflict.

I'd say everyone had a vested interest in letting this attack happen.

People should demand answers.

Public speech at the chamber of the Lords, by Lord Gerald Kauffman

My feeling is that this man is just telling how nasty, bad and plain stupid is the current couse of Action of Israel.

I know that there is a universal law, called Law of Attraction. If I don't remember badly, it was this law in general that brought the demise of Lemuria, and then Atlantis. COncerning Lemuria, the sheer amount of nasty things done to living creatures just attracted a celestial body, that eventually wiped out this civilization, or so I read on this very site, years ago.
On a very minor scale: as the COmmitte said for Hamas, want war, get war. I fear that the very same thing will happen to Israel: want carnage, get carnage.
Latest news is that wagner group is arming Hezbolla with pantsir AA systems, and I suppose that a lot of balck market manpads are just coming in.
Current war experiences has revealed that the military power balance has pretty much shifted with the advent of cheap and effective drone forces. This means that the heap of billions that US is pouring to arming Israel are no more decisive as in the past.

My impression is that Israel will bog itself in a prolonged strife with the border countries, and will have to endure a serious attrition for several years. In the meantime, US will have to confront its own serious problems, considering that the hot fronts will multiply.

On a historycal ground, it is pretty muche the same logic that downed the Roman empire, and many other empires as well: overstretching, internal economical failures, centrifugal political forces, and internal strife. The USA idea of sacrificing and beating Europe to remove a competitor and feast on its spoils, are set to backfire spectacularly. EU will break, but US will weaken, A LOT.

Have a nice day

I know it's only anecdotal but I was in Iran in 2007 and visited a textile shop in Tehran in an area of Jewish shops named Manoucherie. I talked to the owners, two brothers who were Persian Jews.
They said they left Iran after the revolution and lived in New York, then Los Angeles and finally in Israel.
After having lived in Israel they said they were shocked by what they saw being done to the Palestinians and had absolutely no affinity for Israeli culture.
They also said that there was a caste system of Jews there and that they had experienced many incidents of prejudice against them, always by Ashkenazi Jews.
They told me that they didn't even know what it meant to be a Jew anymore and moved back to Iran.
They said they're Iranian and Iran was their home. They just happen to be Jewish.

A humanitarian doctor dispatched to Gaza just said this:

DOCTOR: "This is an avalanche of human suffering that's 100% man-made.

It is the worst humanitarian catastrophe I've experienced in my lifetime and in my growing long career in humanitarian medicine. And it's burning through the hearts of every single humanitarian I know.

I'm going to paint a picture for you of the degree of suffering that we're seeing. People keep asking me about medical aid and the situation of the hospitals. The entire hospital healthcare system collapsed almost a week ago. It was announced on TV for the whole world to see.

And in that week, there has been indiscriminate bombardment. I don't even know if "indiscriminate bombardment" is the right term because it's targeting healthcare facilities, ambulances, churches, mosques, schools, refugee camps ... densely populated refugee camps ... wiping out entire multi-generational extended families in a second.

There are almost 1,000 families in the Gaza strip who have had at least two members of their family killed in the last three weeks. There are almost 4,000 children who have been killed and identified, excluding almost 1,000 children whose bodies are still trapped under the rubble. Some of them may be alive for a long period before they ultimately die under the rubble.

And I'm sorry if there are any young children watching this. Perhaps this is a good time to ask them to leave the room. But I think it's important that I paint a picture, particularly when I'm following a news narrative that almost dismisses this avalanche of suffering that is unprecedented in modern times.

You know, I'm a pediatric intensive care doctor. I see a lot of suffering in my career. There's an acronym that is unique to the Gaza Strip and it's called "WCNSF": Wounded Child No Surviving Family."

And it is used not infrequently in the last three weeks. It was coined in the last three weeks.

One physician told me a few days ago that a little girl came in wounded and she had a piece of paper in her pocket that she handed to him. He sent me a picture of the piece of paper. It had 27 names on it. And she said, "These are the members of my family that were with me in my home. Please look for them under the rubble. Don't look for this one (she points to the name of her sister); I know she's already dead."

"Wounded Child No Surviving Family" should not exist as an acronym.

And to follow, President Biden, as he continues to justify and warmonger . . . all I can say is this has to stop. It's a collective stain on our humanity.

NEWS HOST: "You paint such a vivid and horrific picture. You really do and I understand that these are your friends you've worked with and how difficult that must be.

You're not alone. I've been reading testimony today from Philippe Lazzarini, who's the Commissioner General of Unwra. He's been speaking the the UN Security Council. He said this: "The sanitary conditions are appalling. People live on very little bread and whatever is left of some water. 70 of their staff members have been killed and they are looking after 670,000 people in their refugee centers."

Is there any sign from what you're hearing, of a humanitarian pause or pauses that could be negotiated?"

DOCTOR: "I'm not a politician, but the word "pause" to me makes no sense. You pause to nourish and hydrate a population before you kill them? It just doesn't make any sense for me. You stop the bombardment. That is what the entire global community should be pushing for and should be insisting on.

In leading up to my introduction, I think you interviewed a Gazan who said something very similar. The priority is not giving us aid. You need to stop the indiscriminate bombardment. So, I think, yes, what is needed is a humanitarian truce or a ceasefire, global intervention ... things that were voted for by the overwhelming majority of countries on this planet a few days ago in the General Assembly of The United Nations.

Yet they're not adhered to and are completely disregarded by the powers that be. Two powers, to be specific."

Humanity already knows this, but most of us do not oppose it. We believe we cannot, but over (not much) time we certainly can. The solution is deterrence first of all, then to change our thinking; to stop teaching human-to-human violence.

Resolving to be a personal deterrence against violence is the first step, then forming up to present a collective, group sized deterrence.

Once that part has been achieved, changing the teaching becomes far easier and faster.

Doing these things is not popular.

Patrick, the latest Message to Mankind is awesome and full of info. TC mentions seasonal changes, but I've already had a few surprises lately here in New York state that look more like spring rather than autumn. For instance, a neighbor's crabapple tree recently went into partial bloom, then the following week where I work, a large lilac bush went into bloom at the top only. And just today, my sister who lives in the Catskill Mountains posted pictures of an azalea, and pussy willow both ready to bloom--very strange indeed!

Interesting Renie. I am originally from upstate NY but now live in Virginia. My wife and I joined an organic farm here in central VA and I volunteered there this summer to help harvest. One of the owners commented to me how surprised she’d been this year with kale being harvested into the middle of August, long past the usual timeframe. In fact, there was only a week or two between the summer kale and fall kale harvest this year, which in her 13 years running the farm had never happened. I couldn’t help but think that the dim period was starting as part of the shift.

the Nazis in the Holocaust, my grandmother was Ill in bed when the Nazis came to her hometown of
Stasof, a German soldier shot her dead in her bed.
Madame Deputy speaker, my grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian
grandmothers in Gaza.
The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploit the continuing guilt among Gentiles over the
slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians; the implication is that
Jewish lives are precious, but the lives of Palestinians do not count.
On Sky news a few days ago the spokeswoman for the Israeli Army Major Liovic was asked about the Israeli killing of at that time 800 Palestinians the total is now a thousand (Note: currently more than 10.000) she replied instantly
500 of them were militants.
That was the reply of a Nazi.
I suppose that Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw ghetto could have been dismissed as militants.
The israelian foreign Minister Chipy Livy asserts that her government will have no dealings with
Hamas because they're terrorists.
Chipy Liv's father was Atan Livy chief operations officer of the terrorist Yon Leumi, who organized the
blowing up of the King David hotel in Jerusalem, in which 91 victims were killed including four
Jews.
Israel was born out of Jewish terrorism.
Jewish terrorists hanged two British sergeants and booby trapped their corpses.
Igun together with the terrorist Stern gang massacred 254 Palestinians in 1948 in the village of De Yasim.
Today the present Israeli government indicate that they will be willing in curren circumstances acceptable to
them to negotiate with the Palestinian president Abbas of Fatah.
It's too late for that, Madam Deputy speaker: they could have negotiated with Fatah's previous leader
Yasser Arafat, who was a friend of mine, instead they besieged him in a bunker in Rallah, where I visited him.
It's because of the failings of Fatah since Arafat's death, that Hamas won the election, the Palestinian election in 2006.
Hamas is a deeply nasty organization, but it was democratically elected, and it is the only game in town.
The boycotting of Hamas including by our own government has been a culpable error from which Dreadful consequences have followed.
Absolutely the great Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban with whom I campaigned for peace on many platforms
said you make peace by talking to your enemies.
However many many Palestinians the Israelis murder in Gaza.
They cannot solve this existential Problem by military means, whenever ever, and however the fighting ends, there will still be one and an half million Palestinians in Gaza, and two and a half million more Palestinians
in the West Bank who are treated like dirt by the Israelis, with hundreds of roadblocks, and with the ghastly denisons of the illegal Jewish settlements harassing them as well.
The time will come not so long from now, when they will outnumber the Jewish population in Israel.
It's time for our government, to make clear to the Israeli government that its conduct and policies are
unacceptable, and to impose a total arms ban on Israel.
It is time for peace, but real peace: not the solution by Conquest which is the israeli's real goal, but which is
impossible for them to achieve.
They're not simply war criminals: they're fools."

The Palestinians have accepted agreements to recognize Israel over and over. Israel has reneged every time. If you want to hear the history basics from the foremost expert on the situation, Dr. Norman Finkelstein, start here:

Read about The Israel Project, the propaganda group that sought to control the narrative about Israel in the US.

Even more damning, check out "The Israel Project's 2009 Global Language Dictionary" that taught people how to talk about Israel to to gain support and keep financial contributions flowing.

That last link popped up on a message board where I least expected it, but I was not surprised it existed.

It all is very sad with what is going on in the world now and with innocent people in the midst of it on all sides. Surely all in the heavens are saddened too!! The only thing I can hope is that "when the dust settles" we all will be in a better place. I'm thinking The Shift is what is responsible.... and a weak President hasn't helped.

Also, most of us must feel something brewing here in the US with the open border...and it can't be good....and Patrick lives in Texas!!

Just "my two cents."

It seems to me that HCP and its employees: deep state/illuminati/cabal is successful:
1. They are getting mankind more and more polarized, thus easier to manipulate and control.
2. The majority of occidental people seem to be supporting its efforts.

The dim period already exists within the HCP. This should be a reminder to those who helplessly watch from the sidelines that our power to heal and evolve comes from our inner light. Visualize that light spreading into the chaos. Light is a disinfectant.

As sometimes happens, I propose here an essay from my preferred Archdruid.
This piece is from 2012, so well detached from current events in Israel.
It gives an historycal perspective on the situation of this strange country, which seems unable to live in peace with their surronding countries, and also a reasonable perspective on the probabile developments, considering some striking parallels of the past.
Have a nice read

"....the situation of this strange country, which seems unable to live in peace with their surrounding countries..."

Israel is unusual but certainly not strange. Freedom of religion, peaceful protest, scheduled elections, speech and press are practiced regularly in Israel, but little to none of those things exist in surrounding nations of the Middle East.

As far as living in peace, how peaceful can any one place be when surrounded by threats to eliminate the people, drive away or exterminate them?

@Patrick,
There is much one could write in regards to what you write. But please let me just comment on the "freedom of religion". One can not move to Israel without converting to Judaism. As much as I know, no surrounding countries have comparable requirements.

Au contraire, there are both Muslim and Christian Israeli citizens. (I don't know about religious conversion to immigrate, however.)

Surrounding countries? I lived in one, Saudi Arabia; simply displaying a crucifix or a Mogen David would bring about an arrest, get people thrown out of the country and maybe even incur a jail sentence. A truly hard-core offense such as printing the Old Testament or The Vedas would mean prison.
