I would really like to know of the reckoning coming to those HCP's...they are indeed humans, and I agree they will need love and compassion. I would simply appreciate seeing some manner of comeuppance for the weight of the disposition they have placed on humanity.

Even using a dictionary does not clarify the meaning enough. Do you mean the equivalent of a punishment with the word 'comeuppance'.
If so, I wonder how you did interpret the text from the Committee...

comeuppance = get what they have earned & deserve. What is earned "comes up", not usually in a good way.

If you had told me even fifteen years ago that millions of AMERICANS would be cheering the death of free speech in my lifetime, I would have said you were smoking crack.

They are all over social media filled with glee that other Americans have been booted off Twitter, Facebook, etc ...

What needs to happen for them to give a damn that they threw away one of the foundations of what it meant to be American?

It's clear that no citizen of any country has fundamental and inalienable freedoms. Whether they are written in a fancy Constitution or not. What we have are privileges that can be removed on a whim, as if we were in a prison.

@ TV: No, we're not victims UNLESS we imprison ourselves inside our thoughts and emotions, voluntary. Then we create our victimhood.

@ Lorri: People who cheer because of things like this, are mostly too far gone, they're beyond correction or redemption.

Don't concern yourself with this, you know what is really important. Big changes are coming. The massive opportunity for a new way of thinking will come to many people who have not been indoctrinated the way the cheering masses now celebrate.

I see it as an irrelevant distraction, a pressure release valve to bleed off the excess. After the nice song is finished and everybody feels a little better, the vast majority of us return to the same ways and days, and nothing improves.

The folks "in charge" KNOW THIS.

Decades ago I read the book "I, Judas" by Taylor Caldwell. Very good book. Judas was the most educated and had the highest IQ of all the disciples. As a result, he operated with his rational mind and did not understand that Jesus operated with his feelings of Love. Most any of us could have played the role of Judas. One should be careful what and who one judges.

Reluctance to form opinions is cloaked fear. Humans should form opinions, especially judgmental ones, all the time. Crime, abuse & mistreatment flourish in the absence of anyone willing to say anything.

This is true but I think it's even more basic; forgiveness is benevolent selfishness. If you don't need help, forgiveness and acceptance right now, someday it's possible, even probable. The way to get those things then is to give them TODAY.

Most people believe they're perfectly aligned with themselves all the time, already. Often because they're not aware of any lines and not aware they could be aware of them. So they feel happy, content, satisfied or even resentful at the moment, and that's good enough. They're trained to react as if they're being proselytized when somebody suggests alignment.

Mental forgiveness is superficial. True forgiveness, help, donations come from the Heart, without any expectations for returns now or later.
If donations are received with the above mindset, need to reconsider.

Superficial mental forgiveness is not forgiveness. Giving something with expectation of a return is commerce. What I mean is, what goes around comes around. When we might need help, St a moment we cannot predict it will appear without advance notice from someone we could never know would do it. Kindness begets itself.

The police opened the gates for the crowds to go to the Capitol and not enough people find that suspicious. I just read that a policeman said he was positive he would be called in to work overtime at the Capitol. He packed protein bars to get ready for the long haul . . . and then he wasn't called in.

He said he could not understand it because normal procedure is to bring in more staff when a protest is expected. And sure enough, the police were overwhelmed.

Did anyone notice how incredibly well done the photos of the crowds inside the Capitol were? Did you see the slideshows with an improbably large amount of well-framed photos? There was the guy walking by carrying the podium with a big grin on his face, the guy sitting in Nancy Pelosi's office chair with his feet on her desk, and other dramatic story-telling photos.

In the middle of such mayhem where supposedly people's lives were at risk, WHO took such a staggeringly high number of good photos?

And then by magic, they were all labeled "white supremacists" rather than citizens who believe the election was stolen. What a narrative.

Amazon has suspended their Amazon PAC money to any member of Congress who voted to not certify the presidential election. Of course, the media isn't using those words. They are saying "voted to OVERTURN the presidential election."

I've been mostly quiet on here because the situation is just coming at us so fast. Lots of thoughts - too overwhelmed to express them. These were just a few.

News of this development might never reach "the news" (what we're allowed to know is controlled, as we're now seeing & NOT seeing) however I know from a VERY reliable source (elected official) that a bill to secede from the USA is now being considered by the Texas Legislature. Reasons: The political opposition removes the elected president for disagreements, and alters election laws not permitted by the national constitution.

As I just wrote, you might NEVER hear about this, but it is happening.

Is this why I am hearing that Trump is holdup in Texas at the military base there? Does he have anything to do with the bill?
There have been a ton of reports by people about big military planes and helicopters being seen everywhere. My husband sent me a picture of one today from Las Vegas by the speedway. I have been seeing them and hearing them at night in the little old town I live in in Central Utah.
Maybe it is just all the National Guard and military getting ready for the 20th???🤔

1. Taking off, beginning a journey, heading to a destination

Thanks Patrick. I guess I'd settle for number one as it somehow gives hope like the captions accompanying your more recent pictures. Captions like "Up against a wall; blue skies await. See the light (house)." and "Dawn touches apparently frozen things; wait for the thaw." The second interpretation is making me nervous and sad.

I just watched a video showing tons of armed troops inside the Capitol ahead of in inauguration - many sleeping on the floor. There are supposed to be something like 15,000 to 20,000 of troops there.
