The other day at my parts of Earth's surface, the full moon set right after sunrise. Mother Nature cooperated with my enthusiasm. The full moon (brilliant right before I hit the sack) still looked full to my eye(s) as it turned yellow, then yellowy-orange during its descent. Seeing the sun and moon very close to and hovering just above opposite horizons (it's safe to gaze straight at the sun when its disk has just risen, but this luxury fades fast...) is way cool, in my humble opinion. Your kilometrage might vary. Many folks get excited over "weird" stuff; I am no exception. The sun moon horizon two-step dance is much better to see than an eclipse, again in my humble opinion. It happens twice a year at least, maybe more. Do we have any astronomers in the house with a specialty in Lunology? Moonology? (What is the name for moon science and study, anyway?)

The Moon has mountain ranges? 😲 I didn't know that. I wonder if I can find a selenologist or selenographer in the Yellow Pages. (Anybody remember those? I fondly do...)
