If I understand the esteemed GAG correctly, in additional to incarnation in a physical form on a planet, whether as a humanoid, animal, plant, or insect, there are many other ways for souls to be, including life in another dimension, or creating something entirely new and/or different. Therefore, not choosing incarnation in a physical form doesn't mean just sitting back and watch others. There is a vast array of choices for a soul to experience and grow. Those of us who choose incarnation on Earth must be brave and masochistic.
There must be quite a few volunteers for the Third Wave, as the esteemed GAG once commented that about half the world's population are 'new comers' who never incarnate on Earth before. (Probably not including myself, since I think I had incarnated on Earth many times before.) The first two waves were braver still, since they lived through the world wars, genocide, and wide spread famine, etc.
How I wish I had incarnated in Isreal 2,000 years ago and followed Jesus on his 3 year tour.

An excellent, outstanding first paragraph, except for the part about masochists. That characteristic might apply, if we never returned home to understand and appreciate the achievement of graduating from Earth University, a place where we all receive a 4.0 GPA.

The Jesus part would certainly have been an interesting life, but I would have preferred, if I could choose (which I probably can, after this run is finished) to be a part of the inner circle of Stalin or Hitler, but only as an observer. I could never accept the mass extinctions committed by the regimes both those horrible men led, which probably means I'd never reach or be let inside that inner ring or would have been found out and been exterminated.

From the previous post, entitled Outside Looking In, there’s this bit:

“ Q: Let’s assume we’re astro/cosmonauts, orbiting Earth looking down with our powerful telescopes; we detect the now more than 8 billion humans; what do we think of this, when we have made our decision to incarnate for the first time?”

I thought ETs (the astro/cosmonauts) were in physical manifestation like humans. But that bit above indicates it would be the first incarnation. Am I misunderstanding?

ETs were not a part of the questions I asked, and I did not interpret answers as involving them.

What I meant to imply was to assume that, instead of souls with the abilities and knowledge thereto appertaining...😊 ...we would instead be looking at Earth the way a human space visitor, such as an astro– or cosmonaut would do it.

You are right, Extraterrestrial Beings —who enjoy that label, because We Humans divide everything about them into 2 categories, Earth and non-Earth, whereas many categories exist, plottable all over the map / spectrum of physical life in the galaxies— are physical, but often occupy dimensions we humans do not and cannot, yet are physical also.

Any soul using a physical body for life somewhere that body can thrive, can (or did) have a first incarnation.
