Reader Questions: There is currently a prolonged push to introduce the digital currency (central banks especially). There have been IMF conferences on this and the main stream media is now beginning to portray bitcoin as a legitimate investment for the first time in it's decade of existence.
Questions for The Committee if I may:
1. Are the IMF / Central Banks pushing for this in order to maintain control and visibility over people's spending (and have the ability to dis-enfranchise dissenting voices)? or is it more of a writing is on the wall and they are moving with the times situation?
C: The answer to this our question, makes it obvious. You will note your question is rarely asked, not directly answered. Bitcoin or other alternative currency serves what purpose existing currencies do not and cannot? Your question suggests one reason, which is quite true. Essentially the alternative currencies are primarily designed to avoid scrutiny, oversight, detection and regulation physical cash transactions also provide but with convenience of electronic transfer. Speculation and a commission for creators/system operators are natural.
2. How will the current digital asset landscape be impacted - specifically will current cryptocurrency be fed into a narrative of black market trading and therefore bad, or will they try and bring it into the fold and embrace currencies like Bitcoin (even despite the fact they do not own it and cannot control the issuance / current ownership demographic)
C: Both, as the purposes, needs and desires for control or to avoid same, arise.
3. Will the world in general wake up to the fact that the fiat money system has served only to transfer wealth and real assets to the creators and maintainers of the system and actively embrace alternatives? if so will this be successful and over what type of time period? My thanks to you and the committee for your kind consideration.
C: The world is quite awake to this aspect of fiat money, yet it is only one aspect. Only a portion of the world understands what you ask. As currency faith thus values drop and in many places collapse, the awakening as to what money means, and more importantly does not mean, shall rise.
