Hope all fellow readers living in the Gulf keep safe this week.
Indeed, Yes, I agree, best wishes to those in the paths.😁
Such as me! Thank you....
@Patrick-Hope y'all stay dry there.
It's not looking that good in east Texas. It's unusually quiet outside-not a bird or squirrel to be seen. I heard a few crickets early this morning and one bird in the distance but usually this place is rocking with bird calls, woodpeckers and squirrels chasing each other through the trees. The only sound out there now is a little rustling of the leaves and traffic in the distance, presumably headed north out of the Beaumont area.
Gonna be a long couple days but, it is Texas, and it is the season.
Loss of deposit at American banks due to inadequate liquidity? Under the worst case scenario, FDIC will cover the first US$100,000 of all deposit accounts. For those with more than US$100,000, just open a few more accounts with different banks. And your bank deposit will be 100% guaranteed.
Lower reserve ratio, however, allows banks to lend out more deposit, hence lowering the interest rate charged by banks.
Not really sure what this comment is all about.
It's about the study of banking.
@Stephen, it’s $250,000 according to the FDIC.gov information.
No mention of crypto? Lots of talk online about the USPS blockchain patent filing but nobody asked the Postmaster about it at today’s hearing. Blockchain technology is what crypto uses. Maybe this latest circus attack in the democratically controlled House is because the USPS filed the blockchain patent. Two interesting facts about the USPS. 1). The USPS is older than the US Constitution and
2). Historically US postage stamps have been used as currency.
Anything can be used as currency. Next thing you know, some idiots will come up with the idea we could use tobacco leaves as money!! Ha, ha, ha.....just think of that ridiculous, stupid right wing Neo Nazi idea.....
Article about the 47 page long patent on the blockchain-based mail in voting system known as "USPS Secure Voting System" filed at the U.S. Patent Office on August 13th--looks like something big is in the works folks!
Saint Irene, that article is full of misinformation, hype and fear peddling. The USPS is not in financial crisis or any other crisis. The Postmaster set the record straight about the removal of the mailboxes too. The video of the hearing is valuable on YT. I agree the blockchain patent is big, but not for the reasons published by the “experts” writing about it.
@Linda--This was the only halfway decent article I could locate in a pinch--everything else online was far worse! The article at least gives the reader a sense of what the patent is and when it was filed. Personally, I had never heard of this technology before your mention of it, but it is certainly intriguing...
Shifting gears a little, the results as things stand today. Small changes could still occur, widening the margin (free will is always in operation & effect, to some degree) but this is what will happen, at least:
Yes, this from The Committee and yes, I picked these names for the USA's Demublican and Republicrat presidential tickets, in order to make fun of the game.
Perfect names. With only 270 votes needed, it's pretty much sealed.
What's going on with the mail sorting machines? Got a photo this morning of a new sorting machine was thrown in the dumpster in Grand Junction, CO.
Thanks Patrick I was reading about some guy's nde he had and part of what he was describing as happening was he was with satan and a place that he thought of as hell. I have heard there's no place like what we think of hell, but it can be easy to think there is hell just from what goes on a daily basis.
I read some NDEs where a person, very religious, had been regularly fed with the information .. "do this do that or else ...Hell". So he experienced hell.
@santanu that's another way of putting it. I've had dreams that I wonder how my mind or soul is able to put it together for me to experience.
One topic suggestion is the "World After The Shift", the so called "Golden Age" - what will be the state of the world, say, 25-100 years after the shift including -
-The countries with redrawn borders - the new Map
- Governments, Politics and leaders of the new era
-Technology & Scientific achievements
- The nature of rise in human consciousness
- food production
- Space technology
- Financial system
- How long will the Golden Age last and whether wars etc. will start again
- The differences with the present system
- and so on
Great question and topic suggestions. I think you have to submit them through the contact page though.
Very thoughtful I must say. Looking forward to see if the Committee would like to address the questions 😊
I'll second that!
I'd do that. Actually we have been talking for years about The Shift and the difficulties and disasters associated with it, which is worth bearing because of the coming Golden Era. But what are the features of that Golden Era and how different is it from the present one? We got some glimpses...but I feel some elaborations are required.
Another 1 in 100 years hurricane hitting the Southern coastal states. Is Patrick alright? Is everyone alright?
These 1 in 100 years events will become norm, as part of the Shift (in climate). As stated before, mega hurricanes will keep coming year after year, as well as biblical drought in the West Coast (North and South America), North Asia and Australia, massive winter snow storms in East Coast, and violent volcano eruptions everywhere, etc. (Fortunately no big earthquake in Northern California, but Southern California will not be so lucky.)
As the esteemed GAG said, these natural disasters are beyond the control of any incarnated being, not even the Illuminati can control it. We can but accept these 'acts of god'.
Other re-labeling unemployment as 'additional time-off', or hunger as 'involuntary empty stomach therapy', we might be able to better prepare ourselves for these 'enlightenment events'. Solar panel (extra-large) and setting up a vegetable patch in the backyard would be a start, but there must be many other things we can do. (Except hoarding toilet paper.)
Not suggesting we should join the 'survivalist' movement, but each family may want to stock up some critical items specific to its need, eg medicine. (Vacuum packing and refrigeration may extend the shelf-life.)
@Stephen: Many of us are still without power in east Texas and we're not sure when it will be restored. The crews are working hard but there are just sooo many outages. The sound of east Texas is now the hum of generators. Patrick's area may be with limited power also.
Louisiana got the worst of Laura but a lot of us West of the border are counting our blessings that we didn't see the damage or flooding that occurred with Rita and Harvey. Mostly a fast moving ferocious wind.
We prepare for hurricanes like Californians prepare for earthquakes. Fortunately these just have a season :-)
@katherine hopefully Patrick is ok he has tc to help him navigate through the weather.
We lost power for about 6 hours yesterday when it was intentionally shut off the "balance the grid" said the power company. We had no rain or wind to speak of, just a few gentle breezes.
@Patrick - That's great news.
Anyone else remember off hand when Patrick first posted that trump would be president I think it was like 5 yrs ago, but I just want to get under my stepfather's skin that trump will be a 2 term president.
