Thanks for asking the question about lives lived after Thomas Jefferson.
It settles for me that Thomas Jefferson and George Jefferson should not be minted as different sides of the same coin.
However, both did quite a bit of "Movin' on Up" during their respective sojourns.
Also - thanks for the daily vocabulary lesson. I had to look up the meaning of the word, "seraglio" and ended up learning a number of things about the Ottoman Empire and an expanded meaning of the word "Harem" in a Muslim household (as a place and not necessarily the individuals themselves).
It's good to learn something new everyday.
After I posted the interview, I looked up the word too, and the answer made sense.
Thank you for this, Patrick and Committee.
Thank you President Jefferson. I am so grateful for what you and the founders did to throw off tyranny.
I had the opportunity to visit Monticello which gave me a whole new respect for TJ. Beyond being a statesman he was also an inventor, art collector, and architect. His home is full of curiosities that even now, are still anazing. I think he was an exceptional human - i think i developed a crush on him or maybe his library... Anyway, thank you Patrick for bringing voice to Mr. Jefferson!
Thank you President Jefferson and Patrick for this insight. I greatly appreciate the perspective and understanding it provides.
