I have been meaning to read up on Bitcoin for ages, but just never did.
I have a friend who kicks himself daily for not investing just a little in it. He meant to, but did not. He'd have a million or two dollars from the investment now.
The loser always bet too much, the winner too little. Why would a buyer (ahem....investor!) in bitcoins want, for example, dollars? Why not just keep the bitcoins?
Well put Patrick
Bitcoin was setup to be used as an alternative to traditional currency. I could never work out why it should have been able to cashed in to old currency if it was set up to a alternative to that same currency.
Also good luck with your project , we sure need it , sick of paying 28c kWh for electricity here in Australia!!
@Kyle: At some point, electricity could cost a good bit less, maybe 40-50% under "current" rates. (pun definitely intended)
Possibly more, if enough longer distance overhead transmission & distribution lines, maybe some bigger substations also, can be eliminated from urban and near-urban use. Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth at least, for starters. Ayers Rock, too! (Just kidding there BUT maybe a city could be started in the vicinity, y'all can name it Rockville.)
The Emergence of ECommerce.
Once upon a Time ... the Emergency of a new Currency occurred in a Shift that a some could see (in fact C#).
Electricity (was also a form of Currency that) flowed along rivers of energy that you can't C.
However, If you worked in that "particular" field, you better be sharp (B#) on the job, (or at least B able to C# while on the job).
Fast Forward to the Ever Present NOW....
Introducing a new Philosophy of how we manipulate our Currency, might be a bit off-putting to some, who would like to regulate how things WERE done (once upon a time). Chip Readers or ApplePay anyone??
Enter a 2Bit Texan in a 10Gallon hat, that attempts to explain all of that, while we read it all on 34 byte or 64 byte configurations of screenplays. (The fact I can't edit prose on this site, also Bytes at times, I suppose).
Perhaps those that read the information relayed by the committee & conveyed by the committee, can also understand the dichotomy that exists inside of me, when you tell me that we might've "bit-n-off-more-coin" than we can chew.
Currency as a concept, becomes Currency as a concept. As long as it doesn't "Bit me in the Arse".
Brother, can you spare a dime.
I see an author, poet & essayist emerging here. Well, well written,Tim.
More Spanish emerges; "un sombrero tan galán". Ten gallon hat. 10 cent opinion but a ten gallon cover. Yee HA!
