Thank you soooo much, Patrick and TC, for answering my questions... It helps me a lot !! And your french, Patrick, is wonderful!! With my fondest affection, Lysa.
You're welcome but the French dictionary is wonderful, not me, I only extrapolate from similar sentences I can already cobble together in related languages.
Exactly, you instinctively have the correct method to be efficient at learning languages...That's why you speak quite a few fluently...If only my students could have the same instinct!!
@ Lysa: É simples e fácil, é só questão deles se-livrar dos hábitos de linguagem, e ouvir! (Facile à comprendre, oui?)
Speaking of learning & Speaking different languages...
As I read the comments above and thought about the (very useful- btw) description of Reiki, I had the impression that perhaps “Channeling” could be considered another language to add to the list of languages that Patrick speaks.
Also, it seems to me that a similar transmission process might occur between a master channeler and the source energy of the transmission. Certainly with the Attunement part”.
Aside from the Source not having a physical body (at times), I courious if there are any other (or many other) nuanced distinctions between a process such as Reiki and receiving channeled information?
Hi Tim ! As our languages are a "coded" energy, I think you're right, I woud say there is the same mechanism between reiki and channeling information, but with different types of energy...
Except for channelng, there is no speaking, just listening. Human language is a two phase process. EVERYBODY "speaks" channelng fluently; by using thoughts.
There are no words or pronunciation to learn, no new alphabet, letters or characters.
What is a master channeler?
The Committee says (paraphrasing for speed) Reiki and channeling employ the same energy in different forms, for different purposes and effects.
My Reference to a "Master Channeler" was riffing off of the reference to a Reiki Master.
Both Similar to a Master of Ceremonies, i suppose (MC as as the rappers like to say), pumping out the "tunes", vibes and & energy in different forms, for different purposes & effects.
Let's get this energetic party started. "Put your hands in the air, like you just ... want to heal someone".?!?
Well... you get the point.
Hi Pat, my favourite thing in the whole universre (reiki) just a slight correction if i may. I believe dr Usui "rediscovered" reiki as opposed to developed it. It origins apperntly date back to approx 10 000 years in Tibet area. Maybe tc could elaborate on that .
"Human rediscovery" says The Committee, "the technique is ancient, in terms of Earth time, across the galaxy and universe, among many civilizations of beings."
Thank you for the answer and explanation of Reiki. I am a Reiki practitioner and this explanation of energy is helpful to explain reiki to my engineer husband.
Might he require formulas?
Says The Committee "E = mc2, where m = the mass of the sender, c = the sender's intent, energy and focus and E = reiki.
As the sender squares up the desire to send energy to the subject, it occurs in direct proportion to the mass the sender represents."
Flipping heck !!!
Many thanks to Lysa for asking these great questions about Reiki, and much gratitude to Patrick and TC for providing this detailed description of the mechanics of Reiki and just how the healing occurs.
As a master level Reiki practitioner, I can transmit healing energy as well as attune others to become practitioners. The energy feels like magnetic pulsations in the palms of my hands, and often the receiver (or client) reports that they feel heat coming through my hands. When I first became attuned to Reiki, and also when I attune someone, I've noticed that the energy coming through takes on a very beautiful and sacred feeling. (That's the best way I can describe it.)
I'm so happy that TC confirmed that this energy is indeed a real and viable force. Even though I've worked with Reiki for years, I have to admit that I have always had a tiny sliver of doubt. Now I know the energy is one and the same as used by any great healer from the past!
Thank you again Patrick for all of your hard work, and much gratitude to TC for your always amazing answers to all of our burning questions!
You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it since I know nothing about Reiki beyond reader questions and Committee answers. I've never seen it performed, I've never read about it; I am ignorant on the subject..
"You had no doubt" says The Commttee, "you remained a tiny bit surprised at the effect and were unsure of the source and mechanism, but you did not doubt it at all."
Oh, Committee, you know my mind very well...some of the formalities of the Reiki system never set well with me, but now even my skeptical Virgo mind is satisfied that the energy is real!
If anyone is interested in information about Reiki I would recommend the following link:
Thank you Patrick and TC for this explanation. Patrick, a question for TC. If acceptance, or at least guarded skepticism, is needed by the recipient of Reiki, what impact does Reiki have on animals? If my wife and I perform Reiki on our oldest dog to shrink a tumor, can we be successful? The vet does not want to treat it with a laser anymore as he feels she might not wake up after surgery due to her age.
Says The Committee, "Animals are receptive to the process and experience effects but not in the same way as humans. Untrained in human social norms, they do not learn to reject ideas as humans teach each other to do, however are less likely to likewise affirm then appreciate benefits when success of the technique occurs. This positive feedback helps sustain momentum and movement.
Please do perform the process on any animal you believe will benefit. You will see progress; we will not predict to what extent. See for yourself."
Hi Franck, I personally did some reiki on a friend's cat that had been hurt by a car (hips). it was quietly sleeping on the sofa, and when she told me the story of her poorly animal, I asked it if it would like my help and explained to it what I could do. it meowed back and kept quiet for a little while (which is the most difficult part with animals, they have a tendency to move around). I could feel the heat in my hands from where it hurt, and stayed a bit in that position...It could certainly feel it too, as it suddenly flew off the couch to cool its backside down on the tiled floor!!! It does heal animals too, As far as your dog is concerned, I would give it a try, a little bit everyday and see how it goes, reiki will never hurt, it can only be positive...It will definitely give your dog a lot of well being anyway. If its a cancerous tumor, I would say it really depends at which stage it is... Hey, Reiki practitionners, what do you think about it ? Master Renie, what would you say ?
Thanks Patrick, TC and Lysa. The tumor is benign, however just getting large. Since it is in her mouth we'd love to shrink it for her if we can. We will give it a try.
Hi Frank--YES! Definitely do Reiki for your dog--with animals it is best to gently offer Reiki, but never force it. Sometimes the animal will position itself with the body area that it wishes you to treat, and it may not be the area that you think should be treated. When the animal is finished it will leave, turn it's head away, etc. and may only be able to tolerate a few seconds of the energy. I would set the intention, and certainly envision that tumor shrinking down to nothing. Holding you and your sweet pup in Love and Light...
So, just believe and be believed, that's all'?
I know that to become a reiki healer one have to do a lot of training, and also give A LOT of money to his method.
I know from Erik that the act of giving money implies also a transfer of energy, but I can't help but think that the money involved in "reiki training" it's simply a way to make money... This was also the reason way I have a lot of skepticism about reiki "schools".
Maybe the Committee could shed some insights on the matter of "training". Is it really needed? Is money (transfer) needed?
Have a nice day
Sorry for the mispells, but my automated corrector is really annoying at times... I correct the wrong correction, just to see it reinserted after I have sent the message :(
Hi Pierluigi, I personally didn't pay a fortune for my training on the first level, I did it with a reiki master in a small group (6 people) no "school"... About 20 hours for 150 euros ...But I've heard some "schools" take advantage of the situation that more and more people are interested in it and can charge a little fortune...for 4hours (I can't understand how you can be properly trained for a first level in 4 hours...), especially in big towns, Paris is an example... It's like for everything I suppose, some people are gullable and trained by "jokes"...
@Pierluigi: The Committee says, "Training and practice are very good for any skill, ability & talent. Money is no different for teachers and students, than it can be for any human transaction, interaction or service."
Hello again, Patrick and I add my thanks for your continued good work.
Just a comment about giving Reiki to a recipient....the practitioner does not HAVE to physically touch the recipient in order for Reiki to work. As the Committee stated, the INTENT is the most important part. When giving Reiki to someone not comfortable with touch, placing the hands near the person works as well, but I rarely come across people who don't like to be touched. Reiki can also be given at a distance, even across oceans, etc.
There we go, folks! An expansion and correction to the defintion, just as I asked.
Across oceans? That means Reiki is essentially communication.
I thought it could have something to do with the quantum law called "entanglement" between the sender and the receiver...
Even if the receiver is physically in your presence, you don't have to touch him, you work on his etheric body, which is the space up to 3 centimeters above the physical body
As briefly as possible: "Rei" represents spiritual universal source consciousness and "Ki" represents primal life force energy (like "chi" or "prana.") It is a healing energy that connects us with love, peace, compassion and wisdom. As TC very well described, the intention of Reiki "smooths over" disturbances in our energetic field that keeps us in disharmony. Reiki is used to heal all circumstances, in all dimensions, and can do no harm.
When Mikao Usui attuned his students to Reiki, he transferred the energy through physical touch, and the lineage continues to this day. The techniques taught were coveted and kept in deep secrecy. Mrs. Hawayo Takata was the first teacher to bring Reiki to the United States. Born in Hawaii of Japanese descent, she found it difficult to teach during World War II.
There are many versions of Reiki in practice throughout the world today and it is now becoming accepted in many western hospitals and clinics, and is being studied scientifically.
Basically, during a hands-on treatment, the practitioner sets the intention for the energy to go where it is needed most for the client's highest and greatest good. Reiki will begin to flow through the hands, as they are placed on or above, in the auric field of the client's fully-clothed body in a series of positions that correspond to the various organs, glands and chakra systems of the body. The hands remain for several minutes in each position and extra attention is given to any areas of concern.
Most importantly to a practitioner, Reiki is vital to healing ourselves spiritually, emotionally and physically so we can best help others. Through various techniques Reiki can be sent long-distance, used for past-life issues, heal relationships, and bring enlightenment and creativity to any subject.
Since Reiki is no longer a closely guarded secret, there is voluminous information available, and this is just a loose summary on the subject. For me, learning Reiki was the best investment I've ever made in myself. When I received my attunement, it was one of the most precious moments of my life, and I sincerely believe there is NO substitute for the compassion and love that can be conveyed by the human touch.
Thank you very much, Master Renie, that's exactly what I have learnt and how I feel about it...There is something else that came immediately to my mind during my 4th attunement which was "commitment" to healing myself, healing and helping others, opening up, growing, evolving...and it matches wih everything that I have learnt with Erik Medhus, Patrick and The Committee...They are the "intellectual side "of things, Reiki is putting it into practice...Much love to you, Renie and to all of you...
Erik Medhus and The Commttee are, certainly. I'm simply a typist stenographer. Thank you for the complment, the sentiment is most appreciated. Someday I'll rise to the level of earnng it. Thank you for the love, and please accept mine in return to you Lysa, and to & for everyone here.
Well said, Lysa...Reiki began my journey into spirituality, and I will always remain, most humbly, an eternal student...much love and deepest gratitude to all of our wonderful teachers!
How funny Renie...For me, it was the other way round...!!Our "Dream Team" (Erik, The Committee AND Patrick (YES,YES!!)) began my journey into spirituality along with quantum mechanics, and that drove me to Reiki !! Thank you for your love, and all of you for being who you are and giving me so much !!
Dearest Patrick, you are a typist stenographer, but not SIMPLY that, it's not possible !! You interpret thoughts and then translate THOUGHTS into WORDS, my god, that is the job of an intellectual! Choosing the right words, building sentences with links between them that make sense, being able to report accurately on subjects you don't even know about yourself and remaining coherent and accessible to everybody the whole time ...It's a highly intellectual job !! And you are a brilliant writer...without this "talent", all this mass of information wouldn't exist. For all these reasons, YOU ARE PART of the "intellectual side" of things, never doubt it...!!
Thank you but it isn't really translation and, at least for me, it's no more involved than taking dictation; being a stenographer. Then I type. Word choice and order? EVERYBODY does that and with ease, that's talking; hardly intellectual. Thank you for the writing compliment.
"An Inquiry Into The History of War", "Transportation, Effects and The Modern World" or "French Wine and The Demise of Imperial Spain"…those are titles of intellectual stuff. (The last one was a joke; the demise of Imperial Spain was actually caused by Argentine malbec vintages, not French Beaujolais.)
Can the TC address if all types of energy healing, including prayer, are a function of E=mc2? Can the mass increase if more than one person is involved in the healing process? Doesn't prayer increase based upon the number of people praying?
Thank you! This is truly useful information!!
Says The Committee "Yes, as are all sendings of energy, and most are not and need not be, healing. Not everything is damaged or injured. Techniques such as what humans call Reiki, can be very good for anybody.
Yes, more souls increase force and effects.
Yes, prayer is Reiki or Reiki is prayer and greater numbers at either or both ends of the process increase effects, also."
Would you be willing to channel Dr. Mikao Usui if we can put together a list of questions? I thought of asking you years ago, but hesitated because it seemed to be off-topic from what your readers would normally be interested in...but since we're on a roll...if so let us know what you need, info-wise, etc. Thank you so much for considering this!
Excellent idea !!
Yes, Renie I'd be happy to try it. Please send the questions through the "Contact" page.
I also don't have a solid grip on "what your readers would normally be interested in." The majority of the topics I pick at random, or The Committee jumps in. No subject is off limits until questions become personally intrusive.
