RQ: Why is this FRB repeating every 16 days? And what is the source? Alien communication or transport or something else?
A: The Fast Radio Burst question was asked here before, the explanation from The Committee was: the signals or transmissions —which typically last only fractions of a second— are essentially residual electromagnetic effects from and caused by interstellar vessels accelerating above or slowing below 300,000 km/s or the "speed of light". Entering our dimension or leaving it, in other words. The sources originate inside our solar system but when the radio telescope looks in the direction of the spot where the radio signal was detected, they see a distant galaxy, if anything at all. This makes it easy to assume that galaxy, which looks like a fuzzy star, is the source. The vessel which caused the distortion burst is not visible or detectable by humans, so….
Sidebar roadside quick stop: The closest galaxy to Earth is Andromeda and can be easily seen with binoculars or even the naked eye around this time of year, and it looks like that, a blurry star as if a nebula or fog were there. "Bingle" will take you there. (Google + Bing, bamboozle and sing…)
Says The Committee: in this case, instance and example, the every 16 Earth days effect is the arrival and departure of vessels from the same route, vector and/or trajectory. The vessels are part of the same extraterrestrial observer civilization; they are not arriving and departing because of sixteen day intervals, which are a coincidental side effect WE HUMANS notice because we live inside a calendar-ized existence.
The intervals occur because the vessels prefer the magnetic field alignments which occur with planet and star position and orientations, which favor their travels.
