Wow, how arrogant of us! The part about sending a Doritos commercial, the molecular formula for alcohol and craigslist postings is cringe-worthy! Btw I did send a message to the ones in orbit now.
In re-reading a 2013 post about communicating with ETs you suggested we pick a star in the night sky -the one that may wink/twinkle - and send your thoughts. Does this mean that some stars in the nights sky are space ships appearing as stars?
Thank you for the gifts you share. I read and re-read your past postings and I am grateful for all the information you have and continue to share.
Yes, indeed, "twinkle, twinkle little star" means not ONLY shifting layers of air and light refraction but also our visitor friends winking at us.
"Some of the most prominent messages of the past have tried to cover everything," Vakoch said. "We're taking the opposite approach. Rather than trying to communicate everything [about math, science and life on Earth], we are focusing on saying a few things very clearly. For our first messages, we are emphasizing the essentials of math and physics."
(As if the ability to reach Earth from two hundred light years distant cannot also comprehend scientific knowledge which can barely reach a satellite
1/15 millionth the distance away, i.e. The Moon)
Patrick, I laughed OUT LOUD. :D
