Hi Patrick I remember saying to my step dad the other day the only way to eliminate violence of any kind is we all need to learn not to choose to be violent as opposed to just talking to each other and working out our problems I'm not sure when that day comes but I will be happy when it does arrive
Is it "OK" that you try and "Corral" these ideas here & there again (& again), when in reality, no one can "muzzle" another one in a showdown of ideas (& ideals) in front of the general store of human speals.
Why-at Earp? & Doc-Holiday, would have a holiday with this topic today Y (as well as) yesterday.
having been raised in england since the 1970s, gun control by law is all i've known.
i can't imagine arguing to drop it, and i don't know anyone who feels differently.
i could attend school safely and not have a police officer or angry neighbour shoot me on a whim.
i may get stabbed but that's one on one :)
If good statistics for school violence and neighbor on neighbor conflict exist in the UK and the USA and can be compared, I will guess there is little if any difference in the rates at which they occur.
Mexico has stricter gun control than the UK (I have fired guns in England personally, so I know many people own them, but in Mexico that is not possible) yet the violence and murder rates are very high. El Paso Texas abuts one of the most violent cities in the world (Juárez, Chihuahua) yet El Paso is awash in guns and is as safe as most cities in the UK.
Given the below list, would it be difficult to convince visitors from outside Europe it is unsafe and best avoided? Just as it can be believed schools and neighbors are a risk for mortal attacks in the USA also better avoided?
