Much better platform for reaction and interaction
Sigh. I don't have Facebook and really really really don't want to get an account. They are not a company I trust.
@Lorri... A world without FB. That would be sad. It's great to stay in communication with overseas friends and it's also inspirational because people love to post lots of beautiful things, stories, animals. I see it as we're all inspiring eachother. There are people of course who have false FB profiles but you learn to know who is fake and who is not. There are lots of settings on FB to keep your privacy etc etc. You're missing out on connecting to the world......
It's not necessarily the people on Facebook that concern me. It's Facebook itself. Besides their latest scandal involving user's privacy, there is a wealth of information online raising serious questions about Facebook and the privacy and security of the users.
Privacy settings on Facebook don't mean much from what I've read.
Great idea.... You will be able to attact way more people. I personally love FB and have been a FB person since 2009. It's great to keep in connection with Overseas friends.
Facebook group sound good. A much better idea than using a piece of sandpaper to cheat at cricket and plunge our team into a world of shame !!!😥😥😥 Sorry, I'm still trying to digest how our Captain and V C could be sooooo thick as to try that ... Gutted !!!
Pat, did U get my E mail mate ???
I would suggest making the group closed or secret. Some of us prefer to not mix our interest in channeled information private with family conversations, etc. People can still find the group through the link on this website.
Good point. If mixture of channeled info with family members occurred, there would have to be a TV sitcom about it!
Facebook? It will get you more visibility, and perhaps more critics and bots. I'll stick to this site personally. It will be interesting to see how you feel about it in a month or so, Patrick. More traffic = more work for you. I hope that the results are positive for all involved as the material certainly benefits those who are willing to read it.
Patrick, I do have a question for TC about Facebook. There is a rumor that Facebook was funded by a government group in order to collect information about people. Also there are rumors that Mark Zuckerberg is tied to the Illuminati. What better place to get the facts than from TC. Any other insight that can be shared is appreciated. Thanks!
Regardless of the Illuminati, Facebook DOES collect information about people and has used it in ways they had no business doing.
I'm not linking anything because it's all over the Internet. The latest scandal is just the tip of the iceberg. Facebook targeted members in the past for Obama and if the person clicked that they agreed that Facebook could also target their "Friends" list, then Facebook targeted those people also. They never even had a choice.
Big wigs at Facebook even admitted that they had no business doing it, but they did it because they "were on their side" politically.
Sorry to be such a downer and I'm sure the person who set this up had good intentions, but Facebook is a mess.
I stopped logging into FB about a year ago. I don’t see the point of it other to say something to an old acquaintance but I already did that years ago. All my friends know my email and phone number. I spread the word about this site in different ways.
Okay I admit it I was the second shooter on the grassy knoll. OH wait wrong forum. Ahem. Move along people nothing to see here.
First things first, Facebook's current blip in it's history. And I say blip for a reason. A multi billion dollar business that not only owns Facebook but Instagram and Whatsapp. All with millions and millions of users. Did I say Facebook itself has over 2 billion users and growing.
Once Facebook tightens up on it's data sharing process, it wil be business as usual. Sure 100 million people or more may leave in protest, but that still leaves Facebook with billions of other users who haven't.
Facebook isn't going anywhere soon. It will adapt and adopt itself.
Now onto the page and group I set up for Patrick. If you are a publisher, author, writer in 2018 you NEED to be on social media. Yes, this site is great. Lots of loyal users who visit daily and comment all the time. But if you remember TC said that Patrick's Alien Handbook was going to go much further afield. And to that end to reach a much bigger audience, Patrick realises he needs to reach a much wider, diverse audience. Social media is that audience. So I hope everyone shows him and TC there commitment and support and joins and promotes the Facebook page and group.
I agree, Mike.
Mike setting up the FB page is a great idea, just not for some of us to participate on. but it can reach those who aren’t like us and already here. It looks great btw:)
