Thankx Pat, have ordered mine, cover looks good! 😀
Thank you, Steve. I had no input into the design (a good thing, too) and I agree. Your diligence is admirable, since the book won't be available for two more months.
Ordered and waiting patiently!
Congratulations Patrick... I will have to make room for some more reading ;-)
I just saw this link on my FB through CE and thought some peeps here might find this interview with the Titanic interesting...
I especially resonated with this bit in the interview...
Humans are still a very primitive society and the actions of a few will have effects upon the whole until the whole understand that all are one and the same. Until there is no longer the thoughts that govern which say that one is different from the rest. Progress on earth is being made, but this is how progress begins...
Mankind is NOT primitive. There are very small minorities of primitive individuals inside human societies, but these are never more than single digit percentages. In other words, >90% of the people in all of mankind and any one "civilization" (soveriegn nation, region or culture) are far above primitive behavior. Back in school, getting a score of 91 or higher (sometimes 94) usually meant a grade of "A".
No matter where a person might go, no more than 2 or 3% of the people do things primitive enough to harm, injure or kill others and it's usually a much smaller percentage.
Consider one thousand sexual assaults in a city of three million. Assuming all victims are female, adult and women are half the population, it means less than 1/10 of 1% of the male adults are perpetrators. In other words, 99.98% of males are not rapists. The same proportions apply to most primitive acts or behaviors; much greater than 95-98% are not involved.
Mankind is not primitive, not even close. We are not perfect but we're very good. We choose to emphasize the heck out of imperfection, no matter how small.
Hey, it wasn't me who used the word primitive LOL, it was the Titantic energy ;-) (you'll have to read the whole interview Patrick) The word Primitive was used regarding this... (Until there is no longer the thoughts that govern which say that one is different from the rest) We are all one and the same
@Susan: I didn't suggest or infer you did.
Lol, Pat, you must visit the far western suburbs of Sydney one day ! ! 😀
@susanshand hi Susan thanks for the link never heard of this site before but I always enjoy reading stuff like this
