1.Are the techniques and symbols explained in Reiki important for transferring energy? Or, without knowing any reiki technique, can I simply imagine/visualize transferring energy to another person and if that person receives it then it would also work?
2. If energy is transferred to another person without his/her knowledge, would it work?
3. If we simply wish or pray for the health of a person, will it work as good as reiki?
The Committee responds:
1. Yes, for aim, focus and accurate delivery. These are similar to markings on a roadway or sights on a firearm. Techniques and symbols help the sender collect the energy by confirming belief it exists.
You may send energy without reiki techniques however the effectiveness will likely not be the same. This does not mean there is no effect; there will be a positive one as long as the sender believes benefit will come. If the recipient also believe this is possible, the effect is enhanced. Resistance and rejection play a large part.
The techniques of the process aim energy at the desired destination. If the target person is aware, and if s/he can see, hear, listen or otherwise be aware, this helps much the way catching a thrown ball occurs. It can be thrown however the better technique through practice a user has, the better the trajectory. Likewise, the target may allow the thrown ball to simply pass by, or hit and fall, attempt to catch it and miss, or catch it successfully.
2. Yes, however likely to a lesser degree. It is better for the target to be aware and more helpful if the target knows something about the technique.
3. This is the same question as question 2, using prayer as the example. The purpose of prayer is communication, often a call for help, a request to have help sent somewhere to someone and something. Reiki is purpose, person and location specific.
Prayer always helps and is always heard, if not answered the way a sender hopes and prefers in all cases.
Thank you so much Patrick for this wonderful and precious gift...Many thanks also to Renie for asking for this incredible interview...With all my love. Lysa
You're all welcome.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
This interview is great and it has given us (Reki people) the foundation of Reiki and its healing.
Usui-san gave that to you, I just typed what he said.
I know as much about reiki as women's make-up (although my reiki knowledge has recently outpaced understanding of female war paint by a country mile.)
Hi everyone I was just wondering I recently bought a moldavite crystal I plan on using and from what I've read it's going to be interesting to see what happens personally but I was just wondering if anyone has ever used this crystal before and what your experience was with it thanks everyone
WOWEE--such a joyful, witty, wise and endearing soul--Mikao Usui is quite a personality! How beautiful to feel the lightness of his energy and his love for all in his own words. His personal reflection on how he felt about Reiki, his final life project, was so beautifully said!
This goldmine of technical information that our dear Master Usui provided, is invaluable to us "Reikiists" and gives a very clear description of just how the healing energy works when properly transmitted and consciously received. The energy which is always available and "in our face" combined with the Reiki training, can assist us in developing our beliefs, gathering our energy, and more precisely transmitting it for healing.
What I found particularly intriguing is Patrick's excellent question about physical healing--and Master Usui's details on the existence of our "default setting" blueprint that is reset when the Reiki energy flows into the affected area. It restores the imbalance, repairs, and returns us to the ideal condition. Knowing just how this process works will undoubtedly help the practitioner greatly in setting the intention and focusing the Reiki energy.
Patrick, thank you for providing Mikao Usui the opportunity to communicate with us, for which he seemed truly delighted and honored to do! So happy to hear that your interest was piqued by the subject of Reiki...Sending infinite gratitude and abundant blessings to you for bringing this to great session to fruition!
You are most welcome. It was easy to do, the complete opposite of Paddock of Las Vegas infamy. Usui-san is a nice soul.
Thank you very much for this interview , Patrick.
What strikes me is the clear, simple and sound description of the process.
My position as a scientist is not based on what accept or not about a new field of knowledge, but its inner coherence.
And, given its principles, all the conclusions and descriptions are a natural consequence of them.
This aspect is really what I need to acknowledge, to believe it can be Real.
It also help me to sort better between who practice "real" reiki or simply is using it as a mean to make money.
Have a nice day
Nothing wrong with making money until someone is cheated, intentionally deceived.
Very nice Mikao Usui.. I have My Reiki Level 1 Certificate. I must get around to doing Level 2 initiation.......
I drink Green Tea all the time... Love it...
Me too, daily and especially the South American version, Yerba Mate.
Thanks Patrick, enjoyed this interview enormously.
You're welcome, it's nice to hear you did.
Thank you so much for interviewing Master Usui!
I have been wondering a lot recently about energy exchanges between people such as Reiki, channeling, readings, etc. Would it be possible to know if Master Usui still encourages treatments to have a money exchange? Or rather, what is the best form of energy exchange in providing any type of services? Right now I give all my Reiki treatments away for free, as I do not feel comfortable charging anyone anything, but where lies the balance?
I suppose that charging money for a living is not the same thing as asking thousands of euros/dollars (more in the range of 10.000 than of 1.000) just to make your master "unlock" your reiki capability or promote you to the "next level" (this is what I was really referring when talking of "training and money transfers" about reiki).
My opinion is that If I were giving reiki healing, I would let the people freely giving what they feel confortable to give.
Have a nice day
When I took my Reiki training the subject of money exchange was explained to me thus: When someone gets something for nothing, they often view it as having little value. This is where an imbalance can be created, as it sets up the energy of disbelief in the recipient.
Of course, when treating friends and family, that can be a different story. Just because one is Reiki trained, does not mean you are obligated to go out and begin treating clients. As a matter of fact, our own self-healing is the most important use of Reiki energy, although it was not discussed in the channeling.
Exchange of value for any good or service is what study of economics examines. Reiki is one of millions of services. Providers and customers choose.
Thank you , to re-read & re-read . Reiki found me when I was screaming inside for love after traumatic dark nights of the soul . Reiki helped saved me a spiritual death. TC & Patrick, your contribution to adding/ grounding Reiki wisdom is enormous. I feel reiki as pure clear energy like a breeze of freshness & it’s transformational. @Renie’s description of Reiki being always present ‘in your face’ is truth. Feeling & allowing really is key. I used to be someone who thought healing was found in bottles, pills, lotions, potions , hypnosis, surgery, talking therapy for emotions & habits yet reiki healed trauma through Love - life energy when met with accepting heart.
